Type: Single Origins Roast: Medium Weight: 9.5 Grams Shape: 62mm Flat Top Fratello gave this coffee a cupping score of 87.5 The Costa Rican Co-op Palmares has sweet aromas of brown sugar and apple pie with a thick body of milk chocolate fudge and a clean silky finish. Round #01 It tasted good, but I was slightly disappointed. It didn't taste as much as I hoped for. Compared to the Brazil Sweet Blue I had earlier today, this was no match. I will try again another day with less water Round #02 Less water (7 oz) presented a different cup of coffee. This time I could actually sense a vague presence of apple and a much more distinct coffee taste. Round #03 It's not bad, just a bit... in lack of better words: weak, for my taste. Sweet, a hint of brown sugar. By concentrating really hard I taste chocolate. Pleasant aftertaste. This will not go into my regular rotation, but I will not be ashamed by serving it to guests.
