Ethiopian Misty Valley

Type: Single Origins
Roast: Medium
Weight: 9.5 Grams
Shape: 62mm Flat Top

Intense tropical fruits, blueberry and strawberry in both the aromas and long lingering flavors. Thick syrupy body and full of character, yet notably clean and bright throughout.

Round #01
My first meeting with this Organic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe caught me completely off guard. Blueberry!? And lots of it.
It was hard to believe this was not artificial flavored. I was half way through the coffee before I could really appreciate it.

Round #02
The berries in this are really intense. Too much for my taste actually. It's almost as you're not drinking coffee.
I find something coffee-ish in the aftertaste. Bright acidity, like it comes from the citrus family.
So far this is not a coffee I would keep around for myself, but it is a coffee I would like other people to try.

Round #03
The pod smells blueberries too.
Waited a long time before this final round. Maybe I'll find it better this time.
Bright acidity. Some earth notes. Clean.
I have to say this coffee at least is interesting even though it's not a cup I'll have on my favorite list.
