Type: Single Origins Roast: Medium Weight: 9.5 Grams Shape: 62mm Flat Top Rich dark chocolate and slightly nutty aromas are followed through by a buttery and silky mouth feel. Round #01 Nutty indeed. Sweet. Something burnt. Some of the flavors you expect from a dark roast in a medium package. Nice acidity. Round #02 When I take a good sniff of the pod it smells sweet, and a hint of something spicy perhaps? Testing at 7 oz now. Hard to separate the different flavors. Slightly burnt. The mouth feel comes closer tho the description as the coffee cools down. Will give it one more try. Round #03 Still can't find the chocolate in there. Something reminded me of brown sugar though. Kind of dry mouth feel when it's hot. In many ways a good cup, just not my kind of cup. Score: 3 + |
