Roasted to perfection-you will notice a hint of earthy undertones. Round #01 Smells promising while brewing. Starting at 8 oz as usual. A bit thin as a result of 8 oz. Mild and sweet in a way. Pleasant earth tones. I would say brown sugar hidden in the flavors. Low acidity Needs less water :-) Round #02 I jump straight to 6 oz this time. The pod smells good with hints of fruit, flowers and spice. Dry earthy flavors. Much more distinct at 6 oz. Aftertaste has some brown sugar. A better cup at 6 oz, more personality. Medium to full body. As i cools down a nice fruity acidity appears. It kind of takes over for the earth notes and brown sugar aftertaste. Much better now. I'll keep 6oz for the final round. Round #03 Bunn MCP: 6oz, tea setting Picked up vague fragrances of chocolate as well from the pod this time. Earth and spice are most dominant while brewing. First sips reveals a nice earth followed by notes of brown sugar. Nice and fruity towards the end. Very good actually. Score: 4 |
