Timothy's‎ > ‎

Parisian Nights

Type: Blends
Roast: Dark
Weight: 10 Grams
Shape: 62mm Flat-Top

This classic Timothy’s Parisian roast is a thick, hearty blend. Roasted to a perfectly dark, deep color, this is one blend that you will not forget!

Round #01
Bunn MCP: 6oz, tea setting
Pod smells nice. Slightly smoky.
Actually kind of spicy fragrances from the fresh brewed cup.
Mixed with nice smokiness.
Time for tasting.
Less dominant smoky flavors than I expected.
Smokiness comes back hard as it cools.
Medium sweetness.
Nothing wrong with it, but not particularly exiting.
Smoky, a bit charred and that's it.
I'll add a tad more water next time to see if that reveals anything else.

Round #02
Bunn MCP: 6oz, tea setting
Changed my mind about amount of water.
Spice and smoke while brewing.
More char than smoke in the first sips.
Changes as it cools a bit. More smokiness in the aftertaste.
Could wish for more depth.
Medium sweetness.
OK body.
Just, plain dark roasted coffee. Nothing special.

Conclusion
It starts really well. Pod smells nice. Slightly smoky. While brewing I get delicious aromas of spice and smoke. Unfortunately the taste does not match this.
A bit smoky, a bit charred. Medium sweetness. Okay body. Nothing wrong with it, but not particularly exiting.
